this opportunity and want to bring in as many as we can! Being a first-year
event of its kind, we are working vigorously to obtain everything we need
to make this a fun and successful event. We are working with multiple
vendors, food trucks, DJs, as well as local companies to help participating
in making this a successful event! We are always looking for help in any

Details on the event thus far:
Gravel Big Brutus (GBB) is a gravel bike race held at Big Brutus inc. Camping, food trucks, vendors, participants, gear, etc. will be held on the property of Big Brutus. We will have two races as follows.
Race #1: Miners 100, This race starts and ends at Big Brutus. The Miners 100 takes you on 100 miles of extremely scenic and historical road through southeastern KS. This route is also part of the annual “Big Brutus Poker Run” as you will find on OnX mapping systems. This will be a timed race with prizes for first through third place. This race will take place on Saturday October 25th at 8:00 AM CST (STRICT).
Race #2: Miners 50, This race starts and ends at Big Brutus. The Miners 50 takes you on 50 miles of scenic and historical road like the Miners 100. This route will contain similarities to the Miners 100 but sticking strictly to gravel roads. The Miners 50 will also start and end at Big Brutus with a timing system in place. This race will take place on Saturday October 25th at 9:00 AM CST (STRICT)
We are also hosting a fun ride on Friday October 24th (Time TBD) to honor the miners who worked tirelessly during the coal mining era. This race will also include a glow ride style. Participants will be given glow sticks to wrap around their bikes, bodies, or however they wish to sport it. We will also have a friendly competition for the best costume for this ride.
