Osprey (The only backpacking pack you need)
Share
We’ve been hauling Osprey packs through just about every kind of terrain since 2015. Over the years, we’ve tried a handful of other brands which some were decent and some not so much, but nothing ever compares to the reliability and comfort of the Osprey bags. Our fan favorite "Stratos" has been beaten to death by us and to this day still holds up strong (After a few repairs).
Their customer service is absolutely unmatched. Osprey stands by their gear like no other company we’ve dealt with. We’ve had a few bags take some serious abuse (things break it happens when you actually use your gear), but every single time we’ve reached out, Osprey has come through. They repair or replace gear fast, no hassle, and they genuinely care about making it right. You don’t see that kind of confidence and support much these days.
What really sets Osprey apart is that it’s clear their team actually knows what it’s like to use their gear in the wild. Some companies hire designers who’ve never stepped foot on a trail and sure the designs might look cool on paper but in the field 30 miles into a trip you start learning real quick what bags are good and what bags are not. Osprey isn’t like that. You can tell their packs were built by people who’ve felt what it’s like to be 60 miles into a trek with aching shoulders and sore hips. Their bags are insanely adjustable, thoughtfully designed, and made to keep you going mile after mile. The attention to detail is another thing that keeps us coming back. Every strap, every zipper, every pocket feels like it was placed with intention. Whether you’re out for a weekend or a multi-week trip, your Osprey bag adjusts with you, moves with you, and somehow makes carrying a heavy load suck just a little bit less and I know it sounds crazy, but seriously sometimes adjjusting your bag can make it feel lighter and its an Osprey magic trick.
It’s not just a recent thing, either. Osprey has been doing this since 1974. What started as a single custom pack design out of California has grown into one of the most trusted names in outdoor gear. But despite their size, they’ve never lost that personal touch or the focus on real world performance. They still test their gear in the field, work closely with adventurers, and improve based on actual feedback not just trends.
At the end of the day, a backpack is more than just a way to carry stuff it’s your lifeline out there. When you’re far from the trailhead and everything you need is strapped to your back, that’s when quality matters most. And time and time again, Osprey proves that they just get it. So yeah we’re Osprey fans and not because someone paid us to be (we have absolutely ZERO affiliation) but because we’ve trusted their bags through storms, long hikes, busted zippers, and full on gear meltdowns and they’ve never let us down.
